Alodie Gossh, Art Teacher [email protected] What makes an artist? An artist is more then a person who can draw well. An artist must be able to experience the world; take everything in. Then use that experience and knowledge to create works of art.
Julia Garcia, ESOL [email protected] As a teacher my goal is to promote high quality learning by providing all students with a positive and safe environment. By individualizing each student and supporting their own style of learning, I believe the capability of becoming engaged in their education will be heighten. Thus, making it my mission to continue supporting every student’s unique needs and tackle each objective with these ideals.
Chad Holmes, PE Teacher [email protected] As your Physical Education Coach I want to help all students achieve greatness. I am a believer that if students can do the little things well and be disciplined the bigger tasks and bigger skills we ask the students to do will be easier. At Medulla the other two PE coaches and I start with greeting the students as the teachers bring them to PE and then taking the quietest and most orderly class to the PE area first. We want to start them off the right way! To do the little things well you have to believe in the Medulla S.T.A.R. We will be Safe at PE. We will Toleratant and Respectful to ourselves, peers, and the staff of Medulla at PE. We will be Active Learners. We will be Responsible. Once you have the “STAR” mastered the coaches at PE will be able to teach you the skills necessary to reach the objectives in all 6 of our modules. Developing the physical skills and challenging the minds to learn the objectives in our modules of throwing and catching, locomotor movements, ball striking, health and fitness, cooperative games/team sports, and lifetime activities is a lot of fun. Playing games after students have mastered the skills developed during the modules is even more exhilarating. At PE we want to be positive with good sportsmanship and have the most fun while being disciplined in making excellent choices. If we help students have fun at PE the rest of the school days will be enhanced and enjoyable. If we teach students discipline to do the positive things, we will have a great deal of fun as we learn across all content areas at Medulla Elementary School!
Susan Williams - Library Media Specialist [email protected] “I want to encourage the love of reading in our students. I am here to guide and direct the students in their reading selections. Books encourage the use of our imaginations and expands our knowledge in many areas.
